Contributing to reBot-devArm from Seeed Studio — an open-source robot arm platform designed for students, developers, and researchers.

Vision

reBot-devArm aims to democratize robotics research by providing an affordable, accessible robot arm that works seamlessly with modern AI frameworks. The platform is built with the developer community in mind:

  • Open-source hardware and software — Full access to CAD models, firmware, and control software
  • AI-ready — Compatible with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, GR00T, and ROS 2 for modern robot learning workflows
  • Education-first — Designed for university courses, hackathons, and self-directed learning

My Contribution

Working on integration with the NVIDIA Physical AI stack, enabling students and researchers to:

  • Collect manipulation data through teleoperation
  • Train policies in simulation with Isaac Sim
  • Deploy on the physical robot arm using Jetson edge inference
